Eco Cascade - based on the west coast of Scotland - provides a primary processing service for seaweed producers and buyers. We are a Community Interest Company created to scale the emerging seaweed industry to meet the requirements of commercial customers.
Seaweed Processing
Eco Cascade has been established to fill the gaps between cultivators & gatherers of Scottish seaweed, and the many demands and needs of the range of seaweed product makers.
We launched our processing operations in Spring 2023 at our first processing facility in Kyle of Lochalsh in the west coast of Scotland. Eco Cascade provides primary processing services to west coast seaweed farmers for the stabilisation of valuable seaweed crop at harvest time.
Eco Cascade facilities are food-safe approved and HACCP monitored.
We provide customers with traceability data on location and processing, and provide drying, washing, shredding and wet processing services.
